Incredible food, I’m typically not a fan of Vegan food but this place knows how to combine healthy combinations and excellent preparation technique. The approach to the 4 course approach is that you “Select as you go” through each separate meal. A simple and effective process as you may want to try something different as you progress through your selected meals.Drinks menu is a bit scare, but all in all they have a full bar and can make you nearly anything you ask for.

The food is good and the flavors are very well paired. We enjoyed the mushroom dish, the burger, and the pesto pasta. But overall the did was mushy and lacked textures and crunchiness and variety. The restaurant was very dusty and you could see cobwebs everywhere, deep layers of dust on the support beams near the benches. The bathrooms smelled dingy. The wait staff was very pleasant and the highlight of our experience.

First and foremost, I have to mention that I am not vegan or vegetarian and eat meat on the regular. However, all the negative stigma of "gross vegan food" was completely blown out of the water here! The good was amazing and the service impeccable! Our server must have been the owner or something similar, because the power moves he pulled were something I'll always remember. We were seated and I mentioned I'm trying to eat more vegan and what would be good for someone like me. He immediately recommended some dishes such as the calamari mushrooms. In fact, before he even returned to our table and recommended this, he already placed the order on the house! And added some other appetizers too! They were all great, and the mushrooms were absolutely delectable. Then we ordered the three course meal and I asked for potatoes and the burger, he immediately shot my potato order down and said no, you can get potatoes anywhere here, and simply placed a different order for me. Boy was he right! The food was delicious! The burger I ordered was super interesting! It was juicy and savory, definitely not meat-feeling, but it also definitely didn't matter! The flavors were not something I was used to, but it was very very well done. I would absolutely have it again! The same goes for the apple pie we ordered, new and fantastic tastes! It was rich and sweet, and definitely impactful!I would come back just for the server we had alone, I cannot express how highly I recommend coming here, the food and service is outstanding!

Por favor, apoie este estabelecimento totalmente vegano e sua equipe maravilhosa e atenciosa!(Original)Our awesome experience started with a phone call from Imani. She was following up about a request I made on Open Table for a quiet spot because I’m highly sensitive. She was so understanding and kind. When we arrived, we had a great place on the patio. The food met all expectations and the N/A cocktails were sophisticated. There were lots of gluten free options with a GF vanilla cheesecake to die for. The service was impeccable. The restaurant is located in a great neighborhood and we walked off the wonderful dinner we had. Please support this all vegan establishment and their wonderful, attentive staff!

Perfect date night spot for vegans and non vegans. We had a reservation at 8:15 and arrived early to get a drink at the bar but ChrisBaby (the amazing host) was able to seat us right away at a table right by the window. The prix fixe menu is $70pp and offered a lot of variety and great portions to where we were pleasantly satisfied. Our server Audrey was fantastic and attentive, and the bus service was also so sweet, I wish I caught his name.We got the Oyster Mushroom & Grilled Peach second course, the King Mushroom Skewer and Cauliflower Steak for the third course, and the chocolate tart and strawberry cake for dessert. The lover’s lane cocktail was delicious for mezcal lovers and they had interesting wines to choose from. The sage lemonade was a refreshing NA option that I got to start with the Amuse that was yummy foccacia, olives, fennel and the most delicious carrot butter.Everything was flavorful and thoughtful. The mushroom appetizer was the star for me, but honestly I would eat everything again.

No geral foi uma ótima experiência.(Original)We went here on a Friday night, just me and my vegetarian leaning daughter. I picked it because of the great reviews, and how much I love prix fixe menus. The facility was easy to find, parking was a little tougher, but we found some. The waiter we had was really nice, and the service was mostly prompt. They did forget our Amuse Bouche initially though, but once mentioned they brought it right out.For drinks, the menu looked pretty good, I ended up with a Faction IPA, and a Cuver Saison during dinner. Good options that paired well with the food. For food, the Amuse Bouche was some housemade focaccia w/ some dips and olives basically. It was quite tasty and it was excellent bread. The Starters we got were the Little Gem Salad & The Seared Jimmy Nardello Peppers. I loved the peppers, they were like Shishito's but less spicy. Super fresh and popping with flavor. The kid liked their salad, the dressing was light and full of flavor. For Mains, I got the Tamal, and they got the Red Wine Roasted Artichoke. My Tamal was fantastic, I cleaned the plate. It was just loaded with great taste and the mole sauce was fantastic. Their Artichoke was good as well, and they really liked the Farrotto on it. They ate almost the whole plate. And finally dessert, I got the Cheesecake and they got the Nectarine Crumb Pie. Cheesecake was good, solid vegetarian dessert. They like the Crumb Pie was well. The desserts were good, but the Mains were the real standout. Overall it was a great experience.

Came as a party of 3 at night with 2 vegetarians and one meat-eater; everyone loved it. I ordered the sweet corn riblets as my appetizer and I must admit that I wasn't sure what to expect, but once they came out I knew I'd made the right decision. It was basically corn on the cob but prepared with a really nice barbaque-ey and spicey "rub," and it was cut to be eaten like a rib! All the food here is so creative and inspiring, and I can't recommend coming here enough! The desserts were also off-the-charts tasty, and the waiters are always more than happy to answer any questions.Even though it's a prix fixe menu, the serving sizes are perfect and we all left full. Definitely give this place a try if you want a fun, uniquely-flavored dinner!

Had a great experience. Definitely a unique menu you won't get anywhere else in bay area. Our sever was very well informed on the menu. Got 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 1 dessert to split between 3 of us which was the perfect amount of food. Will definitely be going back because it looks like they change their menu up a lot as we got a lot of seasonal dishes. For appetizers we got the oyster mushrooms, pear salad, corn riblets, and poplano crisps. For entrees we got, the chalupa, aloo tikki, pumpkin Alfredo, and mitake mushrooms. For dessert we has the pear tart.

O Tamal, com sua mistura harmoniosa de yuba, jaca e abacaxi al pastor, elevada pela toupeira de Yucatán e uma mistura de molhos e cremas, oferecia uma sinfonia de sabores que falava ao coração da arte culinária. i visited this restaurant on a Friday night sl we have to pick the fixed 4 courses. I think the food was good, but not memorable. Considering the price, I think the presentation was not 5 starts and the flavors were good but no extraordinary.

Great tasting fresh and creative vegan dishes, impeccably professional and accommodating staff, and a lovingly romantic atmosphere. How can you go wrong? You can't. It's a fabulous dining establishment with very attuned people tending to you. We came to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was perfection including playing the right music track at exactly the right moment. Thank you ever so much, we will be back for sure.

We enjoyed the experience immensely. Being out on the patio is wonderful. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed some of our food as we tried many dishes. I loved the onion rings on the burger the most. Not a fan of fried food, but it was amazing. The steak fries and aioli were amazing as well. My son loved the basil coconut ice cream, which did not taste like coconut at all. He joked about wanting a pint of that delicious treat. It was an amazing evening together.

Our experience here was amazing. Every individual food item was prepared perfectly and full of exquisite, complex flavor. The service and ambiance were also on point. Our servers were attentive and friendly. We sat at the patio which was more quiet and romantic than indoors. They provide heaters and although it was raining, the patio is sheltered so if anything the rain added to the romantic ambiance. We came on a Saturday evening for our anniversary. The last time we went here was when they were still located in San Francisco so it had been a while. This time we chose 3 items of the four course menu. We chose the pumpkin pakoras and carrots for the second round, the cauliflower and tempeh for the third and the orange blossom pistachio tart for the fourth. Everything was so amazing that it is difficult to point out any outstanding dish. I will say the Cauliflower was prepared in a way that challenges the imagination, it's this perfectly crunchy yet soft texture with excellent flavor. I had the "catharsis" cocktail which was fantastic as well. They were also very flexible with our reservation. We were able to switch a later time slot and from indoor to patio only a few hours ahead of time due to my partner having a lingering cough.Needless to say we highly recommend this place for special occasions, you will have a wonderful experience here.

My group of 3 had an 8pm reservation and were seated promptly. The host was wonderful and kind. The food was amazing and exceeded expectations but the service was lacking overall. First course came very quickly. Second course came out a little slow. Then we had a 30 minute wait for our main course even though the restaurant was at 40% capacity by then. Just slower than expected at other restaurants at this price. The waiter seemed like he lacked the kind of professionalism and experience that you’d expect in fine dining. The bathrooms looked halfway to being a dive bar with carvings in the mirror and toilet paper all over the floor. Overall it was a great meal but service could be improved greatly for a better experience.

The food was excellent but the service was awful. When I arrived, early, I stood in front of the hostess for a bit while she seemed to sort some mail. There was a special “cook out” event but I guess she had better things to do than to seat patrons. I explained that my dining companion had already been seated. She pointed to the back and expected me to seat myself. My dining companion ordered a vodka martini. It was small and weak. When we received the bill, we noticed there was a $4 “cocktail” fee. When we asked the waitress about it, she said it was a labor fee because the bartender had to make the drink. My companion complained that this was not disclosed to her and it not on the menu anywhere. In fact, there were two other undisclosed fees, a 1% kitchen fee and a 2% “rising costs/wage sustainability” fee on a $170 bill. The total in excess undisclosed fees was about $8. The waitress said she would get her manager. The manager arrived and attempted to talk down to us by saying this is common in the industry. We disputed this, explaining that we eat out a lot and have never been charged a “cocktail” fee on top of the price of the drink. She repeatedly insisted that it was common practice in the restaurant industry. She said she had worked there for 6 years and the fee had been charged the entire time she worked there. I told her I doubt that. She took that to mean that I doubted she had worked there for six years. She said the price was because there was a 3 ounce shot of alcohol. The drink was no more than 3 ounces total and a vodka martini is supposed to have vodka and vermouth. We explained that no additional alcohol was ordered other than the martini. She said it was a deal because if she ordered an extra shot, it would be more. She continued to insist this is common and she accused me of disrespecting her as I continued to dispute that the fee was a common practice in restaurants. She then did a “shut your mouth” hand gesture at me. I took offense and told her not to do that. She repeated it two or three more times. She smacked her lips and turned her head away like a child. She stood up and put her hand on her hip. She said we were not going to resolve this and said she was walking away. I guess she wanted me to agree to something I knew was not true. She agreed to remove the extra fees but then did not return for 15-20 minutes. The waitress came to collect payment but we told her that the manager said she would remove the fees. She said she would check with the manager. The manager returned with a distinct attitude and replaced the bill with one that removed the miscellaneous fees but kept the $4 cocktail fee. I had been to this restaurant roughly half a dozen times over the years, most recently a year ago. We had not received a “cocktail” fee at that time or any other time since 2017/2018. I don’t believe the other fees were there either. I am glad the legislature has outlawed these fees and only wish they had done so sooner. I expect better at such an upscale place. I will not be back.

I'm not a vegan but this place is legit. We had to wait a bit because they were behind but they gave us drinks and an app to make up for not being able to seat us for a while. The fixed menu had some really good options. We all tried each other's and everything was well made and fresh. The cocktails are legit also I had a mojito that was strong. The patio area is nice with heaters and a cover. It's a bit pricey but good for special occasions.

Great vegan food. Nice and kind service. We had dinner on a Friday so it was a "fixed menu" meaning four course meal at one price per person and you have options for each course minus the first. What was strange was that the first course was only a single serving, or served on one plate, despite us being a party of two. Regardless, by the end of the meal, we were completely full! One downside, the booth seating are two tops and are very close to other tables.

Literally my FAVORITE place in the world! I have been dining here for over a decade and today was the first time I ever experienced brunch! It. was. DELICIOUS. Everyone is so friendly, there was even live music. Such a special place with so much intention in everything.

Espero que o proprietário leia isso e reavalie o cardápio e sua equipe.(Original)Read before you go. Honest review. This place is over priced and over rated. Don't do prefix!! The food was bland. No flavor. Sounds great on the menu and it looks great but once is in your mouth it will disappoint. I can even say it was nasty. I couldn't finish my meal and what I did eat I did not enjoy. For the price, definitely not worth it. The staff, pays little attention to you and what looked to be the manager was on her phone eating at the bar and drinking a little bubbly the entire time we were there.... Literally naming your dishes fancy names will never make the food taste good. I do not recommend and will never go back. I had to remind myself that it's NOT hard to be vegan, but places such as this one, break my heart because it's supposed to be curated for us vegans. We have a hard time getting good food in regular restaurants at least put in the effort to make it a pleasant experience for the price. I hope the owner gets to read this and reevaluate the menu and it's staff.
